Biography

George H. Sack, Jr. M.D., Ph.D., FACMG is an Associate Professor of Biological Chemistry and Medicine. He founded, developed and directed the Johns Hopkins Executive Health Program and was Medical Director of Johns Hopkins USA. He obtained M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from the Johns Hopkins University. He is board-certified in Clinical Genetics and is a founding fellow of the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics. He is a member of the American Society of Human Genetics, The American Association for the Advancement of Science and the International Society for Amyloidosis. He has been an Andrew W. Mellon Scholar and a Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. Foundation scholar.

His research interests have applied molecular techniques to studying human pathophysiology. He has over 125 publications with recent emphasis on characterization of human Amyloid A genes and their biologic function(s).
