The BCMB Retreat is held early in the fall at an off-site country location.
It is attended by faculty members, all first year BCMB students, and many upper-class
students. The faculty and upper-class students present brief talks and posters
on their research. The remaining time is devoted to recreational activities.
The retreat provides a wonderful opportunity for incoming students to become
acquainted with the faculty and students and learn about research opportunities.
Advanced year students organize a monthly colloquium to present their research
to their peers.
Teaching Opportunities
The program does not require graduate students to participate in teaching.
However, teaching opportunities in both informal and formal settings are available.
Monthly Student Colloquium
BCMB students present their research to peers in an informal setting
once a month.
